Silkworm Care

Upon arrival, gently pull hardware cloth out of the shipping container and place hardware cloth on its side in the bottom of a storage container. Transfer your silkworms and food to the new container. This allows the silkworms to breathe and move freely, as they like to crawl under the hardware cloth during shipping and may suffocate if the hardware cloth is not removed.

Food shipped with the silkworms will last 2-3 days. If not feeding silkworms to your reptile within 2-3 days,  you will need to order more food or feed Mulberry leaves.

- Do not refrigerate your silkworms – this will result in their death

- Do not cover your silkworms. Ventilation is needed

- Excessive handling will kill your silkworms. Silkworms are very sensitive to bacteria

- Keep silkworms out of direct sunlight and keep them at room temperature

You must contact us  within 24 hours upon receiving your silkworms if something is wrong with the order (after 24 hours, we may not replace your order). We reserve the right to request video documentation.
